I’m Captain Ariel Rodriguez, a U.S. Coast Guard–licensed Master 100 Tons with more than 40 years of boating experience. I’ve navigated both coastal and offshore waters throughout Puerto Rico, the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, Miami, and the Tampa Bay area. Before earning my captain’s license, I built a career in senior leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies, overseeing commercial operations across Latin America—experience that shaped my disciplined, safety-first approach on the water.
I’m a certified Instructor with the National Safe Boating Council, an American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) Marine Advisor, and I hold a Small Yachts and Small Craft Surveying certificate from the Chapman School of Seamanship. Outside of private charters, I proudly serve with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, where I’ve held leadership and operational roles including Instructor, Radio Operator, and Flotilla Commander.
You don’t have to know it all to start boating, you just need the right guide to take you from where you are to where you want to be as a skilled and confident boater.
